Calcium metal granules are fine granular materials made of high purity calcium metal. It has unique chemical and physical properties and is widely used in metallurgy, chemical industry, battery manufacturing and other fields. It is prepared by extracting from limestone, generating calcium oxide through calcination, and then preparing calcium metal by electrolytic reduction or thermal reduction. The smaller the calcium metal particles and the larger the specific surface area, the higher the risk of oxidation and the need for stricter protection.
Production method
1. Burn white marble into lime.
2. Quickly mix the lime with aluminium powder and press it into a flat ball about 4cm long with a ball press.
3. put the flat ball into the high temperature reduction tank at 1200 degrees, and then evacuate the vacuum.
4. Aluminium powder reacts with lime at high temperature to produce aluminium oxide and calcium metal vapour.
5. Calcium metal vapour condenses in the water-cooled section of the reduction tank to form calcium metal crystals. 6.
6. Calcium metal crystals can be processed into desired calcium metal products, such as calcium metal granules, calcium metal powder, etc.

Steelmaking
