Ferrosilicon nitride

Powdery ferrosilicon nitride is mainly used in the gun-mud of large blast furnace, and a small amount is used in the iron groove material or other amorphous refractories. Granular ferrosilicon nitride is mainly used in oriented silicon steel or other steel with nitride to improve strength (such as HRB400 rebar).

Ferrosilicon nitride has been widely used in blast furnace blast mud in developed countries, and the plugging performance of blast furnace mud has been improved obviously. It can meet the demand of iron discharge from blast furnace and become an indispensable component of modern blast furnace blast mud.

In addition, adding a small amount of ferrosilicon nitride into the iron groove material can greatly improve the iron content of the iron groove. Japan began using ferrosilicon nitride in the 1970s

In the aspect of steelmaking, granular ferrosilicon nitride is initially used in the production of oriented silicon steel, which can provide a certain amount of nitrogen to the molten steel stably.
