High Quality Ferroboron
Density: 5.6 - 7.2 g/cm³
Melting point range: 1400 - 1550℃
Hardness: 600 - 800HV, excellent wear resistance
Products Description
Ferroboron (abbreviated as FeB, boron-iron) is an iron alloy formed by the combination of iron and boron. It is a core boron element additive and a strong deoxidizer in the fields of steelmaking, permanent magnets, and amorphous alloys.

Product classification and mainstream brands
| National Standard Grade | Boron (B) Content | Max. Carbon (C) Content | Core Application Scenarios |
|---|---|---|---|
| FeB22C0.05 | 21.0~25.0% | 0.05% | Amorphous alloys, NdFeB permanent magnets, high-grade heat-resistant steel |
| FeB20C0.1 | 19.0~21.0% | 0.10% | Automotive high-strength steel, gear steel, aerospace alloys |
| FeB17C0.1 | 14.0~17.0% | 0.10% | General microalloyed steel, cast iron |
Products Description
High yield and stability
By using the unique aluminothermic refining process or electro-silicon thermal refining process, the internal structure of the alloy is dense and there is no segregation. When added during steelmaking, the yield of boron remains stable at over 90% to 95%, eliminating the industry pain point of drastic fluctuations in boron content when traditional boron iron is added.
01
Extremely low harmful impurities
The oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen gas contents as well as harmful inclusions are strictly controlled. The design with low aluminum, low silicon and low carbon effectively prevents the formation of "boron phase" brittle precipitates in the steel, significantly improving the impact toughness of the steel.
02
Excellent physical form
In the form of regular granules/blocks (standard particle size: 10mm - 50mm, or customized powder/small granules according to customer requirements), without powder adhesion, easy to weigh and shot blasting, and suitable for use in automatic batching systems.
03
Moderate melting point
The melting point range is approximately 1400℃ to 1500℃. It can be rapidly dissolved and evenly distributed at the normal steel-making temperature.
04
Packaging and Storage
- Packaging method: Inner plastic and outer woven moisture-proof bags, or as per requirements, packaged in iron drums/ton bags (with waterproof and moisture-proof treatment), with a net weight of each bag typically being 25kg, 50kg or 1000kg.
- Storage conditions: It should be stored in a dry, ventilated, and rainproof warehouse to prevent moisture and the introduction of impurities.
