55 Molybdenum Iron is an iron alloy composed of molybdenum and iron. The grade of ferromolybdenum is generally 55-60. Its main purpose is to act as an additive of molybdenum in steelmaking. Adding molybdenum into steel can make the steel have uniform fine grain structure, and improving the hardenability of steel is conducive to eliminating temper brittleness. In high-speed steel, molybdenum can replace a part of tungsten.

The largest application of 55 Molybdenum Iron is to produce ferroalloys according to different molybdenum contents and ranges.
